Romans 12:20
"Therefore if your enemy hungers, feed him, if he thirsts
give him drink, for in so doing you will heap coals of
fire upon his head." The fact that I do not let people influence my faith bothers some people. I have been called phony, liar,
smug, offensive, false christian, among other names more scathing, simply because I have the nerve to not
be ashamed of what I believe and not be manipulated
by others.
Thank God I have learned well from the Savior to be more concerned about what God thinks of me, than what mankind thinks.
I don't say you have to do the same as me. I'm just sharing what works for me, just as others do who push
other ways,foods,ideas etc. Why should I pay a penalty? Others can tell you to drink green tea, do yoga, etc
and that's okay. Why can't I tell you what helps me?
Here is the way I get help with some problems.
To overcome insecurity, I first had to overcome my doubts about God. The fact that I know He is true to His word, gives me the peace that passes all understanding. Why should the fact that I believe
this, bother anyone?
We can have feelings of insecurity, but true
Christians who have learned to put their trust in God,do not have that as a trait. We can have moments that we fear something, but insecurity vanishes, quickly. mostly because we know to focus on our
spirit within.
I sleep content every night, because I sleep in the arms of Christ. That offends some people. I can't help that. I know that when I take my eyes off God in favor of worldly things,I don't get to sleep, and I know what people who never trusted the Lord go through.
However it is a choice we make. So I choose to stay focused on Him as best I can, and I sleep well. I impart that info to you just as I would tell you green tea makes me feel settled, try it. So why would it offend you? I'm sharing my theories on how I believe we can live better. That doesn't mean you have to do it.
If we had to give up sharing our ideas because we might offend someone, nothing would ever be said. Someone will always be offended. Those who are legitimate and disagree I have no problem with. Those who disagree to exploit call names, denounce etc. that is their choice and I pray for them too;-) Surprise! That's what the scripture means.
If you are insecure, I hope you will think about what I have said,and the same if you have trouble sleeping. It really is the truth, it is a choice, and it does work.

Those who know me, know also that I have been a victim of abuse, that I do Christian counseling ,and that I don't make a habit of lauding myself!
