I agree to disagree if you agree
to let me disagree with you
read it again if you don't understand
that what you want me to agree with
is what you decide should be the plan
but you can disagree with my stand
you are the perfect example of a muddled man!
Don't tell me I speak religion, I don't believe
in it, I believe in Creator and His teachings
not the mess for which you're reaching
You want to act enlightened without being so
you want it sans the spirit within, to know
as if by some decree you have entitlement
without believing, or any effort to repent
Unenlightened you yell and make accusations
without knowing the condition of anothers soul
you think your knowledge buys you position
but it takes wisdom to achieve your goal
wisdom you don't have it can't be bought
you don't know where it must be sought
while telling others to stop preaching
you expect them to obey your teaching
get a life!
I wrote this because I'm so tired of pussy footing around in my writing trying to please groups of people who have told me not to write about Jesus. That I offend others when I do. Well I'm very sorry if I offend you when you read the name Jesus. I'm not trying to impose anything on you. My poems and writings are my own true feelings and I will continue to write them for as long as I write.
This is my personal belief and I state it simply as that! I believe in Jesus Christ. He made Himself known to me when he shone His light upon me and gave me eternal life. He is my Savior! I am not ashamed to say that, or to use His name. He is my salvation and the model I choose to fashion myself after.
He personally gave me a sign, when he instilled in me the Holy Spirit and I speak a language he gave to me called tongues,which I use only when speaking to Him or in prayer. I follow Jesus according to the Spirits direction, not from any book or denomination.
Having said that , I recognize that others have different beliefs. They have chosen other ways. I truly respect you and whomever you choose to call your savior . You have the right to speak of him just as I do, to speak of Christ. I honor you for that. Regardless of what your religion,or creed. I hope you will give me the same respect I have for you, and allow me to mention Jesus without it being an offense to you, because I do not wish you to miss the wisdom I have accrued as a result of His teaching. Just as I respect and read others .
I have read and respect many of the writings of religions listed below , and have derived much benefit from the wisdom of them. I use many techniques in meditation and other methods from those beliefs, and am very thankful for them. I believe it is good to take the nuggets of wisdom wherever they may be found and use them for the betterment of life.
Too many people have tunnelvision and miss the beauty and abundance of life by restricting themselves according to a religion. Creator gave us the universe and all within it to enjoy and prosper. It is so foolish to deny what He so graciously gave us, by thinking in terms of creeds instead of the freedom he gave us to enjoy all of life. I hope we can all respect and learn from each other and put to use the wisdom that all the varied religions offer, without being in fear of them. Make your choice, allow others to do the same, then enjoy what you have chosen!
