Why Israel Needs No Defense Aid 9/29/2008 5:38:57 PM
From Biblical point of view, we can see that Israel as a nation never needed help from other nations, and whenever they asked for the aid of other nations, God dealt with them severely. At this time of political gimmicks and come-on speeches,
I am amazed at how some politicians have used the nation of Israel as a leverage to get needed votes and support for the "war on terror". Firstly, Israel as a nation has not asked for US military help. It has the best army in the world and its intelligence network is so "intelligent" it is more than able to outwit its enemies while they are still thinking of an attack. Israel has the most sophisticated weapons and the most determined soldiers in the world. It has never known the word "defeat" in any war in the modern world, and has never been overpowered by its neighbors no matter how many they are. To say that we are
"concerned" that another nation is intent on "crushing" Israel is folly. That is Israel"s concern and they CAN DEAL with it more ably than any other nation can.
Israel as the "chosen people" of God never depended on other nations for military support or victory. The evangelists today who use this "heresy" as a point in fact
against Islam are barking at the wrong tree and should read the Bible again. God was always angered when Israel asked for the help of other nations BECAUSE God wants Israel to
know that ONLY God saves them from all their wars, not the
"other nations" that so arrogantly offer "help".
If we look at Israel's example as a nation, we can see it has survived many wars and has risen economically ALONE as a nation. Its agricultural progress is a shining example of technological expertise of its people, producing crops from arid deserts and turning the biggest produce of vegetables in the world. This is one of God's ways to show
to us puny theologists that God holds Israel as the apple of His eye, and the nation does not need our defense.
