One can "know" many things about God, write about Him, quote Scripture, discourse on His Word, and yet not "have" Him. You see, deception is a blinder, it is like a chef teaching culinary arts and international cooking on television without even seeing the ingredients, and so makes a big MESS. Deception tries to decipher Truth but has never known it nor experienced it. Lack of experience of Truth makes for a lot of room for Error to make his way in and enjoy the meals. Being a former Catholic, engrossed in its doctrine for almost 40 years of my life until God showed me the Truth, I can say Catholicism IS NOT CHRISTIANITY. It so far from the Biblical Christian Church established by our Lord Jesus Christ and I can write volumes of valid truth to PROVE this. But I do not, out of respect for those who think they are what they are not.
However, persistent discourse to blend it in the main dish of Christianity will feed us all with toxic food for soul. The Truth of God's Word will set us free, and the Bread of Life Jesus Christ ALONE can feed us with eternal salvation and the assurance of HAVING HIM, (John 14:20). Ritual, observance of special feasts, words of men (not God) and focusing on minor characters of Christ's life all make for
a semblance of righteousness, but it is empty rhetoric,
having form but no Power. Knowing God, not having Him.
