The Bond of Friendship at AD 5/7/2009 6:56:24 AM
When I joined the Authors Den, my first goal was to post my writings, and to read the works of other authors as examples for study. After more than two years, I find this site is
also a venue for genuine reciprocal friendship, and this site is like a second home. The term "Den" completely says what this is all about, a place
where one can relax, be with friends, take off shoes, rest on a couch, have coffee and biscuits, and just "be with friends".
This is a site where one can unload, be unpretentious, and not fear rejection - except from a few who still have some air in their heads. Friendship here at AD means having someone to listen to you, to be with you when you need them,
people who take you as you are, be with you in times of joy and times of sorrow, pray for you and who give sympathy because they have created a bond with you. These friends are a source of strength and a beacon of hope that all is not lost in humanity. We can still give care and we can also receive caring.
I'm so glad we are still human at AD. Thanks to all of you!
