The Paths of Life -the Real Author 4/22/2009 6:51:16 PM
Wisdom is quite different from Knowledge. Knowledge covers
perception, comprehension, intellectual accent, and memory. Wisdom is the strainer of these thoughts and the divider of right from wrong. It is akin to Discernment. You might think I am too spiritual or weird- by human standards- but I pray before I write, and I ask God's
leading in the words to choose. Even the idea for a poem
or an article, story - does not come from me alone, I ask
for it and the credit all goes to God, the real Author.
Today I came across a Psalm, one of my favorites, and it tells exactly how it goes with my writing.
"Lord, You have assigned me my portion and my cup;
You have made my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
Surely I have a delightful inheritance.
I will praise the Lord, Who counsels me;
Even at night my heart instructs me.
I have set the Lord always before me,
Because He is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.
You have made known to me the paths of life;
You fill me with joy in Your Presence,
With eternal pleasures at Your right hand."
