As the old adage goes, "nothing is constant in life except change" and I for one can attest to the wisdom of the adage. My life is in a constant state of flux. Every day brings some new challenge or or opportunity to screw up.
Three weeks ago I moved. I didn't want to but I had to. Since Chantel and I moved into the apartment we were at she's been "under the weather." Colds and Asthma attacks were almost constant and she never seemed to be really well. Then the air conditioning stop working. So I brought her to the hotel were I work as a night auditor and put her in a room.
The next day we went back to the apartment to let the AC repair man in. When he opened the compressor unit outside it was so impacted with mold that you couldn't see the metal. Chantel is allergic to mold. Every time the AC was on mold was circulating through the apartment.
I found a new apartment that day and we began moving that afternoon.
We still haven't unpacked everything, but that is a good thing. My boss is buying a mobile home as an investment and offered to rent it us for more than a hundred dollars a month less than we're paying now. It is only a mile from work which will save me a fortune on gas. I now live 15 miles from my job and gas is now $3.00 a gallon here.
So if the deal with the mobile home goes through We'll be moving again. Here comes the best part. When we moved into the current apartment the landlord didn't have a lease ready and said she'd bring it in a couple of days. She hasn't brought it yet, so I won't be breaking my lease because I don't have one. And I haven't paid the deposit yet so I won't lose that money either.
Isn't life grand!!!!
And sometimes change is for the better. This time it will be!!
