In Memorium: Joel Raja Kuma J 2/17/2009 9:30:20 AM
Our fellow AD poet JOEL RAJA KUMAR J died recently join me in sending the family our condolences Joel was an exceptional man. Not only was he a wonderful poet of romantic and sensual poetry, he was a good guy. When my daughter wanted to learn more about India, his home country, he stepped up to the plate and carried on a three year almost daily correspondence with her. He called her his princess and praised her to all who knew him. He introduced her to his sons (via computer) and they joined Joel in his friendship with her.
Over the years he taught her so much about India that Indian people she meets are amazed that an American knows so much about thier culture.
He encouraged her to express herself in ways she had never thought possible for her.
Please join Chantel and I in showing Joel's family how much we appreciated him and his talent. I know that the many letters and messages of condolance my AD friends sent when my father died were greatly appreciated by my children and grandchildren. I printed them all out and they will be passed down through the generations.
