Some days you gotta have a sense of humor about your situation. It was innocent enough: gas up the vehicle. However the second I stepped into the raging gale under the canopy, I realized I had just made a colossal mistake. The rain was blowing sideways like snow during a white-out blizzard. I had my trusty pouf coat on that shielded my ass and back and front from the stuff; and the hood with the kinda-visor and lots of velcro kept most of the noggin dry...but ye olde work pants: toast from ass down. Soaked to the skin. Same for socks and black leather loafers....oh crap. Straggling into the office, I gave drowned rats a run for their money...sigh. Now my little space heater is baking my left leg while the right freezes awaiting a nice blast o' heat. Hopefully they will dry before I have to head out and, as they say in rock n' roll, do it again.
