Gee I was feeling pretty bad this morning. First I had to turn down a job in New Jersey that would have been wonderful. Somehow fate intervened and dealt the hand so that going would have been impossible. As usual it centered on being able to afford two places - one in Nebraska and one in NJ - at the same time. Ah the sad realities of economics. There were other factors as well that are best kept private. But I really love the work this outfit did and can only hope that the reason it couldn't happen is because something else as positive is meant to. It seems the powers that be want us to stay here for the moment.
Then, to boot, last night I was cross with a friend. To make it worse, I was cross when she was in a bad situation which is what had made me cross to begin with.
In short, my usually sunny disposition had a big fat rain cloud pass over it briefly. But today is a nice day again and I am ready to tell my friend I am sorry for being a butt; and try to figure out what's coming down the pike. I hope it is wonderful. Besides, I like the rain and a bit of cloud helps put things back into perspective.
