FLUUUUUUUU...choo....AAAACHOO! Plech 2/9/2008 9:17:35 AM
Peeeewie. I got it and I got it BAD. That sick flu crud. EYUCK. I am so thankful for the freezing-ass cold weather because when you're at 103, stepping outside is lovely. Probably stupid, too, but hey, it felt good and I survived. Hey, the dogs need to go outside and have fun, right? Creativity spiked, too. For some weird reason, it made me want to write letters. To who, though? I love writing letters. I wish someone would write letters to me again. I could write pages and pages. I corresponded with a boy from Switzerland who I met in prep school for close to six years before we grew up and drifted apart. We were good friends and I will never forget him. I even visited Lausanne - beautiful city. Of course love letters are simply delicious. To give and receive one...my heart would race when I wrote one. And when I received a reply, I would read the words many times, close my eyes...ah yes, that is sublime. Oh and quit, I am over the fever as of two days ago. When you connect with someone, reading words they write to convey a thought to you...in any language...even when the words are not their own, like a poem by someone else, for example...still takes my breath away. That connection is precious and inspirational. So funny, the dreams fever brings. Dreams of letters and poetry....time and place have no meaning. A longing for letters to read under the glow of a lamp while the snow falls outside and my imagination can run wild. Hmmmm....I would like that very much.
