Bubbly Toes 1/17/2008 7:29:03 AM
Ok, so what the heck is Jack Johnson's song about? I happen to love the tune and listen to it often. I think it's about his dog. That's the only creature I can think of that has bubbly toes whose feet are infested with tarballs and scars. Or maybe I got the words wrong. Hey, cut me some slack, at least I know the words to the national anthem - oh splay can't you steal, by the don's early flight...neener...told you I knew the words. It's snowing today so looks like the old ice cleats are going on and I'm trekking up the driveway yet again. It has become my winter ritual as we live on the top of a butte with a dirt driveway. The driveway slants at the critical turns so no matter how good a run at it you get, you get stuck because the forward momentum is lost by the lack of friction and tendency of heavy things to slide on snow/ice...in this case, the vehicle drifts sideways. It is awful when you get stuck and slide backwards...it makes me swear...loudly. But hiking the driveway is nice. The snow crunches underfoot and the trees look pretty in the moonlight. Occasionally a small herd of deer hang out at the top of the hill and laugh at me, but not louder than I laugh at myself. Snow is coming down pretty hard now - better get ready to trek away.
