Back from Korea, and not leaving again 8/7/2008 4:22:18 PM
So Korea in a nutshell? It's overgrown, humid (I sweat through a pair of jeans just walking around a city block), and full of Koreas and their strange food. During all the plane rides combined I watched six movies that I had yet to see. While enduring the frequent bus rides I finished Desperation, read Catcher in the Rye, A Martyr for Suzy Kosasovitch, and The Great Gatsby. I also spent tens of thousands of Won on alcohol. Moving on...
After arriving back from Korea this past Sunday night, I've been trying to focus as much as I can. Business is picking up at the college bookstore. Today we received three hundred eighty boxes of all sorts of books dealing (mostly) with subjects of questionable applicability to life in general. But that's how school always has - and I suppose, always will - be. You've got those classes that apply to your major, and then you've got psychology... Yeah...
In preparation for the hullabaloo and commotion of the fall semester (and for the true resuming of the life I left behind when I took off for Florida), I'm spending less, saving more, holding off on the rampant DVD buying, pushing back all vacation plans, and switching insurance policies. And I fear that Madeline City's release date might be a casualty of my budget yet again...
