Recovery is a Slow and Steady Process 8/18/2008 10:10:20 PM
It's been a long week filled with friends and late nights, but that is not to say that those two things were taken in tandem. The friends were sprinkled very lightly throughtout the days, while the nights were heavily laiden with sickness and fever. Five days later - and after two meds three times a day - the fevers of one-hundred-two are gone, although a few small symptoms linger. I grow tired very easily and my throat is still scratchy, but otherwise I've bested the ilk that assualted me on Wednesday.
Today I returned to work, and this being the last week before school starts, the bookstore was as busy as I've yet seen it. Our internet was down, however, and the large array of online orders that were my responsibility just sat there, neglected until tomorrow - or whenever it is that they figure out and fix what's wrong with our stupid cables. Either way, I was simply happy to re-enter the routine of normal life that I've tried so hard to establish as of late, that this sickness viciously thrust me out of.
