Over the last few weeks Branchwater's sales rank has taken some interesting turns on bn.com. Abrupt ones, at that. Earlier in the month, Branchwater rose from the 200,000s to the 120s from one day to the next. The next day it fell into the 160s, and the following day it was back in the 200s. This surprised me and finally prompted me to do what I should have been doing all along, and that is keeping track of Branchwater's sales rank.
Since then, Branchwater has risen from the 208,000s to the 117s over night, and then to the 116s the day after that. Since I haven't been paying attention to these numbers before June, I have no other month to compare this one to. To say the least, I am curious as to how my monthly statement and sales history will look. Can sales ranks flucuate so much in response to a big seller coming out? Can the sales of just a few copies make the numbers jump around like that?
Or here's a thought: could Branchwater actually be selling? Crazy, no? Well, I'll have to wait and see, avid Maus blog readers. But have no fear: as soon as I know more I will hastily pass it on to you so that you too can revel and find joy in... whatever is going on at bn.com.
