Off to the Agent 8/3/2008 4:39:02 PM
Today I finished touching up my manuscript that was started in 2003 and I will send it off. With butterflies in my stomach and a few tears in my eyes, I finished my memoir manuscript today and mid-week will send it off to an agent who requested to see the entire work. I'll admit, that hasn't happened before.
Yes, I've pitched it several times and have sent off many queries; some with the first fifty pages and some without. But this is different. My "baby" is leaving home and I pray this agent will be not only receptive to her, but be excited too!
I send "her" out knowing I've put my all into it and pray that it will speak to those who have the power to make things happen.
As with all writers, the journey has been life-changing, but this piece can change the lives of dear ones who will identify with the subject matter. Kisses and best wishes from "Mom" to "Through the Tunnel of Love, A Mother's and Daughter's Journey with Anorexia."
