Rested, Recouperated and Ready for Action 10/29/2008 6:23:33 PM
Fall has always brought change in my life . . . This year is no different. I celebrated my birthday recently, and I hope I'm another year wiser, I don't feel older. The hot summer months have given way to cooler days and nights and brought warm colors to the trees and bushes, crisp air and beautiful blue skies. On a personal note, our daughter was married a short time ago and she and her husband are starting their new life together. They couldn't be happier.
I grateful that I more time to write, read my stack of books, make a dent in my long "to do" list, and prepare for the holidays.
And for our country, just think, in less than a week we will have elected a new president and scores of other officials who will change the course of our lives, hopefully for the better. I'm no Pollyanna, but I am optimistic in the American people and our ingenuity.
So, I'm rested, recouperated and ready for action and have all kinds of ideas for poems, short stories and for my novel, which has been placed on the back burner for way too long. Here's wishing all the best to you and yours.
