Oh happy day! So far we've had no more snow, even though predicted. And I can feel spring in the air. My favorite time of year.
My Grandsons are home now for good! It was almost a year they were gone. Believe you me that was a test of my anxiety. I urge anyone to think twice about reporting people to Child Services until they are absolutely sure there is wrong doing going on. It can ruin the lives of many people when it is done out of malice or without supporting facts. And once in the system it is really hard to get out. I have spent many hours going to FDM meetings (Family Decision Meeting) in the past year only to learn that the family has no power what so ever. These so called FDM meetings are really a spoof meeting to assuage the courts that DHS is doing their job. We as a family had no power nor made any decisions. Believe me we raised our voices and made good points as to why the boys were suffering. DHS was more concerned about budget costs and delaying tactics than they were about judging the condition of the children's mental state.
Life up here on the farm is quiet. An unexpected respite. We tend to have a lot of fog lingering about. Hiding feelings and emotion from us. When lifted our spirits raise up because the sun comes through and warms us and reminds us that new things will be coming and warm hearts will prevail. Spring to me is baby bunnies, and daffodils! Greenery and good smells.
My anxiety is much better, thank you for asking! It's all about perspective and truth of self.
