Even in the heart of an enemy, one can find compassion. I had a little of that given to me two days ago. I have also been inundated with blessings from true friends, family, and unknown people that care.
I lost my dog two days ago. She was hit by a truck and died almost instantly. I was able to be with her while she passed and it was excruiating to watch. But she knew I was there and that I loved her. I think that is important for anyone be it man or dog to know...that someone is with us always.
I had raised her from a pup and she was an incredible dog! More like a person to me. She was my healer, my confidant, my friend, my helper, and she loved me whether I had a pimple or did something rude...she just loved.
I have been in a lot of panic this week. Not only did I lose my long time furry companion, I am moving to a new city miles away from family, I have had an immeasurable amount of packing to do. We are taking a large Rv which has required us to do a lot of cleaning and reconstruction (only had two weeks notice for this). Plus getting into some scuffles with the person who lives on this place with me. I have also gotten a new puppy...he is 3 months old and a darling. But a puppy...did I mention that? Lots of work there too. I love him already and hope to make him a great companion. He already shows promise of great brains and insight.
I am ready to leave this compound...it is not been good here. I am ready to live free of that again. We will be at our utmost best once we leave and I am so happy!
I am not at my best this week, but I am remembering to breathe and to do what is best for me.
I want to share a poem that someone shared with me on facebook regarding our pets and really our loved ones that just have furry faces.
"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all of the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."
