rambling, but eventually revelatory and profound Well, many people here in Morgantown are excited...WVU pulled off a big upset at the NCAA Tournament last night.
Congrats...but in the scale of things, compared to the number of people who died violent deaths in the world last night, the number of children who went to bed hungry (very well with a TiVo recording of a basketball game) and the absurd corruption of the US Constitution by Congree right now being done in the name of pandering to activist voting blocs in the Schiavo case (Just glad she didn't have a gunshot wound, or the NRA would have to weigh in, buying their usual bloc of votes in spite of the representatives moral, legal and constitutional responsibilities to their voters. Ever notice how many NRA spokesmen are old men who are using their guns to replace their withered genitalia?)
(Disassembling soap box)
Okay. The book is in bed and I am awaiting my blurbistas...good crew this time around (always a good crew...new crew might be better description)
Trying to get my arms around my next evolution. Gonna be a big one, I insist...
Went for a walk downtown yesterday and met some new people...the desk worker at the Visitors Bureau was shocked to find out how old I was. She said I'd won the gene lottery. I taught her a few jokes and told her stories of Morgantown 30 years ago. She asked if I was a Cancer, and I said that there are those who think of me as one...
Holding out hope for reads at least at Maxwells and maybe Zen Clay...gonna sit down with Danny and try and get him as involved as much as possible, and try and work with Robert to come up with a technological transfiguration...maybe not in time for NPM, but certainly by summer.
Maybe a good idea would be to add Clarksburg and get the local market trifecta (hey, what about Wheeling, and Pittsburgh?)
The 'Suite is almost complete...just tweaking a bit (the book, the book)
Feeling strong. Damned, but strong. I have achieved the completion of the Kubler-Ross sequence. Nancy would be proud...but then, she practically built this machine, she should be proud of her work...I just took direction well. Or perhaps, as is my habit, I am too quick to give and allow other credit
God knows I've played Cyrano enough, authoring things they pass off as their own at school, at work and in the literary world...to what end? Charity. Charity is a dangerous concept, oft abused when coming from a less omniscience source than the Almighty. I recently went back and cleaned up a whole bunch of places in my memoir, clarifying and documenting the work I've done...I was actually startled at how much I've pandered to others.
Yvonne says it has been unhealthy of me. Dunno 'bout that, it has fed me - emotionally and allowed me to shed some of the guilt for my own mstakes in the past. I have done adequate penance for a dozen lifetimes.
