random notes and musings
4/16/2005 11:03:55 AM

Glancing through my omnipresent notebook, scribbled over the last few days.

Will probbaly get crucified for remarks calling Morgantown a "bar town" in the article in the Times-West Virginian, but meant it in comparison to many of the more arts-oriented towns...will see how the reporter plays that line.

Enough dogs will bring down any lion.

Consider order of names in acknowledgements (INVOCATO).

This time, maybe I'd like a genie for once...tired of being the host to the parasites. When your blood powders, they detach and leave you to heal...what happens when you no longer have the strength to regenerate? Become a vampire like them? Never. (wow, must've been in a dark space of that one)

She'd be pefect if she was ten years older (said of a server at a favourite restaurant who is bright, charming and intriguing...probably in her early twenties.)

Ballcaps don't even look good on ballplayers. On some women, with ponytails, maybe...but on guys they look stupid. I am of the theory that they were created to make proud men humble by making them look goofy.

Venice, DC. Venice, DC. Venice, DC. And maybe even, maybe, Salinas.

Not a single school reading this year for National Poetry Month, first time in almost a decade...and I volunteered to a dozen schools and a hundred teachers...

I will keep the tattoo to remind myself of the folly of believing in others too easily.
