rambling on about media, flirtation, and the problems with manuscript layout yes, the rumours are true. I've always been shy with women. why do you think I write romantic poetry? it is a way of flirting without flirting, of letting your interest be known with plausible deniability if she laughs at you.
truth be told, I've never been the aggressor in a relationship that I can recall. I have always been dependent on them making the first move. while I do retain some decision making power (I can and have said "not interested" on more than one occasion) it is usually the women who at least catch my attention that I have ended up with (Ann not only made the first move, romantically, she also came up with the idea of marriage...I was quite content to have a beautiful lesbian friend...it made for a sense of adventure...)
yesterday I think I got a flag. a young woman of my acuaintance may have been flirting with me. histocially, I have been bad with figuring out when I am being subtly flirted with...my usual pattern, historically, has been to figure it out a few months (or even years) later, and even then only when someone else points it out to me.
how uncertain was I? I called my older brother, whom I never ask for relationship advice, and asked his opinion.
what was his advice? the world waits with bated breath the answer to that question...
on another front, the Morgantown Suite is shaping up nicely, and E.J. thumbed our virtual noses at the local media (half seem to be excited that I'm alive...the other half are uncertain that I'm alive) by sending out copies of the PRweb release from last week, as well as the Times-West Virginiana article to those whom have historically not taken a breath between puff pieces on local auto dealerships long enough to notice my presence (a wonderful dichotomy this breeds in me, humility and arrogance...)
got my first complete copies of INVOCATO yesterday...a few layout issues I see, but otherwise it is the bomb of poetry books.
