what my grandson said makes sense and he's only 4 My four year old grandson got some Serta Baby counting sheep for Christmas from Santa. He alread had two adult sheep so he was excited that his family was growning. He crawled up in my lap with his sheep family and played for a few minutes and then said "Meme, do sheep lay eggs?" Ok, the sex talk at 4??????NOT. But I said , "No, sweetie, sheep don't lay eggs." "Well," he said, "How do we get baby sheeps" I said, (chicken that I am) "Let's call Mommy and see if she knows". So I called my daughter-in-law who was enjoying her time alone way too much anyway and said..."We have a problem over here." visions of broken bones ran thru her head but I quickly disabused her of that. "Boo boo wants to know where baby sheep come from." I said. There was a pause and Mommy answered "God delivers them to the barn".
I repeated that statement "Mommy says God delivers them to the barn." That seemed logical to him and he is a very logical kind of kid. Then he looked me in the eye and seriously said "But you still need a mommy and a daddy, right?" Kids come into the world knowing everything these days.
