genetic memory I have been doing research into genetic memory for my second book in this series. I have always believed in reincarnation and can easiy accept "channeling" if the person doing the receiving isn't out to make a lot of money from the supposed information he or she is getting Genetic memory issomething I hadn't really thouht about until recently.
Our DNA code contains the information which decides whether we are male or female, color of our eyes skin, hair, our height, build, and ou medical predispositions.Isn't it also possible that our DNA code could contain memories from our ancestors? Can you expain why you suddenly feel as if you hav been somewhere before or seen a certain scene? Deja Vue? Certainly but wouldn't genetc memory be a simple explanation.
My thoughts on this began early last spring when my grandson, not yet one at the time, began to do things he sholdn't have even have thought of. We jokingly said that the reincarnator above had forgotten to wipe his memory before they pushed his soul off the cloud when he was born. I mean, this kid was born wanting to walk. He tried to stand up when he as a day old. Before he was one, he was walking and trying to talk. He had the hand gestures of my fathe-in-law (who hasbeen dead since 1973) down pat. WHen he didn't want to be bothered he would hold his litle hand up, palm out, to stop interference;he surely had never heard anyone in our family say "TALK TO THE HAND,BABY".
He loves to ride the lawn tractor with me. First thing he wanted to do was lower the blade. How did he know? Now (he is almost two)he plays tag (although he has never seen the game....and he does it alone in the living room; slapping the door for one goal and the refrigerator in the kitchen for another. He is halfway through the ABC's and knows howto make an S, and A, and an E. No one has taught him these things.He just KNOWS.
Maybe genetic memory explains genius. How else could Mozart now how to write a symphony when he was only ? Yes, I think that the knowledge of your ancestors is encoded in your DNA and some of us are lucky enough to be able to access it. And that will make for an interesting story, won't it??????
