I pray that my grandchildren will have a place to live. I pray they will be able to breathe the air and they will not find the Earth turning into an inferno. That is why I have written the following: Well friends it has been one of those days. I started to write an article but my youngest grandson wanted his Papa and I spent the better part of the morning with him. He is cutting teeth and isn’t taking his scheduled knaps. He keeps going till he finally drops. That is what he did today and I seemed to be the party of choice this time. I’m not complaining. What is more precious than having your one-year old fall asleep on your lap? You simply sit back and enjoy.
I will get to that article but since I am talking about my grandson it brings up another subject. Actually it is not another subject because it involves him. Old Mother Earth is in real trouble and when she is in trouble, so are we.
It is times like this that we have to delve into ourselves and find a little hero there somewhere. Global warming is for real and it is a problem. We have a tendency to ignore it until it gets so far out of hand that we simply give up and say, ‘what can we do?’
We need to let our leaders know that we voted for them so they could serve the people. Not the other way around. We need to make it known that we are willing to do our part but this is not a one or two man job. It takes us all to overcome.
Let us leave our grandchildren and their grandchildren an Earth they can live on.
