Atumns glory is beginning 9/19/2007 11:16:20 AM
Whatever you are doing I invite you to step back for a minute and enjoy:
As you can imagine here in Maryland it is showing all the signs of autumn. The little Dogwood tree in our front yard is just beginning to turn its leaves reddish. They will soon be the most beautiful shade of ruby before they fall to the ground. The temperature is dropping down at night. It is wonderful sleeping weather. In fact it’s much cooler during the day. We have turned off the A.C. and are enjoying the cool air as it causes our curtains to dance in the breeze. The cool air caressing our bodies is wonderful, too. The sun has moved northward. This is causing it to shine through our dining room window for the first time since spring. I am even noticing the Maple tree starting to change the hue of its leaves. They are all preparing themselves for that long winters nap.
It’s a wonderful feeling when you reach my age. You find time to watch nature and relish in her beauty. Each season has its own glorious passion and I would advise all my friends to take time to appreciate it.
