An Early Start 9/22/2007 5:54:03 AM
It’s Saturday morning and it never got below 70 degrees overnight. Looks Indian summer is coming early. My wife works nights so very often when she is off she is up extremely early in the morning and this morning she woke me up so we went downstairs to have a cup of coffee. She immediately went into her cleaning mode. She started sweeping the floor and then she decided to hang some new drapes. Needless to say, I got roped into helping. No complaints, though. We enjoyed the conversation and I watched as her mind began to disseminate the different possibilities for hanging them. It seems they did not come with draw strings, though they did have the loops for them. We had purchased through a catalog and I cannot tell you how often we have relieved things through the mail that were either not as big as the picture shows them or something is missing. In this case it never said anything about draw strings but then it didn’t say they were needed or that they were available at an extra cost. Ann figured how to do this without going to the trouble or expense of buying the materials. I will let her figure that out.
We had turned on the TV to check out the news but at that hour of the morning it was all reruns. Imagine; reruns of the news or may be you should call it history.
At any rate a commercial came on for Denny’s wonderful breakfast and since we had not eaten guess where we headed for something to eat? You guessed it. Denny’s.
I have a feeling the rest of the day is going to be simply resting up because we were up half-way through the night.
