Thanksgiving for the simplest people whom we often run away from.... There is a chapter about homelessness in my new book IMPRINTS just released last night (11-21-07). I am particularly keen to it today, Thanksgiving Day, as it still burns memories in my heart. I am thankful for that time in my life. It etched imprints, deep and powerful, that I could never have expected at that time. And so, I am grateful for those who are meek and humble. They seem to have so little, and yet, they have so much. The character is the main ingredient. There's more on this in IMPRINTS. And Diamond in the Parking Lot, one of the chapters, speaks about this. Some of the scariest people in the world, those who you simply want to walk away from in fear, are those who will bless you the most. The trick is in allowing them to come in first. Will you open your heart to those who are different and don't have the same set of rules and etiquette standards that you are familiar with....? Therein is the prize.
