Tribute to my Husband 11/27/2007 4:43:10 PM
This lady is highly blessed by a husband who will do anything for her when lightening strikes. I was deeply silenced over the past three weeks due to bad wrist damage whereby I lived in a splint. All housework, personal care, cooking, and running around became quite an obstacle course in the loss of my right hand as it became boarded up in movement under the guard of that splint.
Thank God, I have the splint off now although I still feel the muscle damage (or something!) deep inside. Sprain/Contusion.... don't ask me.... I just know it hurts and doesn't act like it used to. But that's not what I want to focus on here.
I have a blessed gift in the middle of this. He's my husband. - new, that is. - about two months. Bless his heart, he suddenly got sacked with all the cooking, cleaning, picking up, even taking care of me. That meant washing my hair and dressing me when it hurt too much to lift the wrist and put on a blouse much less put on make-up. But my husband had the patience and softness of heart to do it all with kindness and empathy.
He was cheerful, serving, gracious, and highly concerned over my welfare. What a blessed wife I am! I count my blessings that he did not bear any grudges about extra cleaning in front of Thanksgiving Day when all the family was coming up here. Not once did he consider calling it all off. He simply put himself out in order to love his wife. Everything was kept highly neat at all times and in just the order that I normally like it. Wow!
