Herein are some answers to the questions I'm getting from the public eye about ... Since I've been running into some questions in the public eye about what kind of stories are in IMPRINTS, I thought I'd give a run down here. Some of the chapter titles are "Diamond in the Parking Lot" which covers the great wisdom I gained from chatting with a once homeless man whom I had great doubt in when he approached me. The story therein was well worth a very prized possession I now keep in my bedroom.
Another one is "Preferences of a Lifestyle" which makes a statement about those who enjoy making breaks with traditions in social roles of etiquette. I love this story in particular. I suppose it's a way of talking back. But the point is the great wisdom in the one who is breaking the role of etiquette. He is the one who is wiser than any one present. It's made plain in the story.
Someone asked me yesterday how best to handle someone who is having a seizure. There's a very loving and touching story called "Love is Stronger" addressing that very matter.
And then there are matters on substance abuse, on alcoholism and the affects in families. Whew! I have some experience on this one, and I am very candid in what I know. Above all, Jesus has been my one true answer to redemption for every burden and failing - of my own and in my relationships. There are several chapters on this.
I was asked yesterday about the subtitle "Stories That Solicit a Response". I hope that the stories will make others stop and think about their own way of thinking and stigmatizing others in poor situations. If I can get others to open their minds a bit and see the other side..... well, I've gained my mission.
