What God is accomplishing with my poetry 6/9/2007 2:20:20 PM
Rhonda's website is ready for visitors! I'm blessed to be a part of it!
(That woman sure can work--what a gal!) I just reviewed Rhonda's "Services" page on her brand new website, http://hewritesthewordsonmyheart.vpweb.com/ I'm amazed at the things God has brought about since I signed on at Authors' Den less than a year ago!
It was Connie Hinnen Cook who persuaded me to post poems; now she is with her Lord in Heaven. I still feel sadness when I write her name, read her poems, or see her listed on AD as Featured Poet.
Now Rhonda has included Connie Cook's work and my work on her tremendous website. Jocelyn and Joyce are there, too, which thrills me. I'm in the best company possible, and it's all to honor the Lord Jesus and call readers to a closer walk with Him.
And through the suggestion of Connie Cook's husband Guy, I am preparing to place free poems--mine and hers--in racks in the Shamokin area. What is lacking is the racks. We thought we found an appropriate kind in a 3-slot acrylic, only to realize it wasn't high enough and the papers would fall over.
Meanwhile, I had fun writing a news release about our VBS, which is called Avalanche Ranch.
Been writing some things for the 100th anniversary celebration of the church, too. "We Would See Jesus" was the first, and I've been working on a couple others. Bernice H wants one for a bookmark-remembrance and Bruce A
asked me to write one for the anniversary booklet.
I'm really glad when someone asks me to write for them. It's a challenge and usually it's for something worthwhile.
Maybe I wrote this before--Guy Cook said I'm a "poet for life," as his dear wife was, and I'm thankful to God for that gift to use for His glory!
