Precious Toddler Elizabeth Struggles to Get Well 8/4/2009 6:20:58 PM
It will take a miracle at this point..... I haven't posted updates on Elizabeth, which are coming every day now and have been anything but encouraging. One problem after another besets this precious little one, as her family continues to hope for her healing. She has been what I would call semi-conscious for several days now--opens her eyes and responds a little, but does not seem to be awake. I pray for her often, and ask that those who want to help to also pray for God's will and for comfort and strength for her family, especially for her dear Mommy, who has been with her almost constantly for many months now, and most of that time has been at the hospital or nearby.

Day 314
NEEDING OUR MIRACLE TONIGHT MORE THAN EVER...
Elizabeth's aspergillus antigen came back positive again and at a higher level. We have started another anti-fungal and OUR MOST FAITHFUL PRAYERS NEED TO BE THAT IT WILL KILL THIS FUNGAL INFECTION. Her blood pressure and heart rate and fevers are all still keeping us very busy. Elizabeth is resting very comfortably. Her oxygen is very stable and her lungs still sound good. Her bilirubin is down to 2.9 which enabled us to start the voriconazole. She is on three meds to help her pee and hydrocortisone seems to be keeping her bp stable. We had a big meeting today to discuss to what extent did we want to support her. Right now Elizabeth is STILL FIGHTING VERY HARD and we will continue to fight with her and MOST IMPORTANTLY PRAY FOR HER. She has alot of odds against her right now, but she has since March 17 and she has beaten them so far. I am believing so much in her and I ask you all to PRAY WITH BELIEF THAT GOD WILL HEAL HER.
