For all who have prayed for Esa, here's another good report! For anyone with health issues, one of the best words to hear is "stable." That's what Blair and Terise, our great-nephew and his wife, heard at St. Jude's hospital today.
Since 7-month old Esa was diagnosed with Retino-Blastoma, their lives have been largely focused on these frequent exams. Yet Blair completed college, Terise gave birth to Esa's baby sister Taya, and life went on.
That's the way it needs to be. When we are faced with earth-shaking situations, we need to rely on God, trust in His goodness and be faithful to Him no matter what. I know there have been times of doubting for them, but they are grounded on the Lord and His promise to "never leave you or forsake you." May we all follow their example.

This week is another Saint Jude week for us. We are still just so thankful that Esa's MRI was good last week. Please be praying that she will continue in these great exams. If all goes well on wed she wont have to go back until sept. If she gets 8 more weeks off then that will make it 2 years of stable eyes for her. Won't that be GREAT!! Please be praying for her to have stable, healthy eyes.

YES STABLE!!!! Thanks so much everyone for praying for Esa. This was our first eye exam without Dr. Scott there with us. It was very weird. He finished up his fellow hood there and now he is in Pittsburg. We went to say goodbye to him 2 weeks ago but today it was real. We really miss him!! Esa had the hardest time today coming out of surgery. her vocal chords began to spasm causing them to close. that means that she stopped breathing!! they had to do some pretty intense treatments to get her to breathe. it was very scary!! she is doing good now though. lately she has been getting sick every time and today was no exception. she threw up all over me there and on the way home in the car seat. we just got home and she seems to be doing fine now. it was a crazy morning. Thanks so much for the prayers and thank you God for another stable report!!!!
