Let's Celebrate our true heritage today, January 20, 2009! On this date, January 20, 1979 snow fell in the carolinas, much like it is falling today. I remember this scene vividly, since I was riding to the hospital during the wee hours of this date as snow steadily caressed the windshield of our car. Safely we travelled the fifteen-mile trek to the hospital where hours later a beautiful baby boy was born.
And on this date, around the world everyone is celebrating his birthday with the inauguration process that is making history on this day, January 20, 2009. I'm sure that a part of my son realizes that celebration is in the air all over the world today--on His Day --his very own birthday!
May you all rejoice in this day--in the history that is taking place. We've come a long way over the past 30 plus years but much more needs to be accomplished.
I hope and pray that I will see the day that America turns back to God with wholehearted submission to Him--to the realization that He is God and we are not--that God's hedge of protection surrounds us when we honor Him and that His hand can be removed if we refuse to acknowlege Him and who He is.
This nation was founded on the God of Abraham, Issac & Jacob--the one and only true living God. With this thought in mind, let's all give praise to the one that is the Father of All Creation--black, white, Indian, Asian--All of mankind--Let's celebrate our true heritage today!
