A warm, loving tribute to my sister. Happy Birthday, Dianne! I've been thinking about her for days. Seems she weighs heavily on my mind; especially this time of year. Perhaps, because today is her birthday. If my treasured sister was still with us, she'd be 49 years young today.
Dianne, I miss you and I love you. This is the only way I know how to keep your memory alive. I penned these words a couple of weeks ago...fine tuned them just this morning for you, sis.
Twist of Fate
It seems like a twist of fate
that I'm still here and you are gone.
Yet, I trust at any rate,
God's in control and on His throne.
I miss your laughter, your voice, your smile,
Your hugs were simply the best!
It seems you've been gone for a long, long while
just two years beyond your rest.
I know that one day I'll see your face
Since heaven is where you reside.
Once again I'll see that sisterly smile
In shared moments, we'll confide.
This twist of fate will come full circle
when again, we're connected by His grace.
Truth is; A sister's love cannot be broken,
by distance, time or space.
