We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit. 'Aristotle'
Rick Warren teaches that we are all a bundle of habits. We routinely and oftentimes, unthinkingly do the same old things the same old way. For example, we get up in the mornings, brush our teeth and comb our hair. Yes, these are done for personal hygiene, but they are also acts of habit--things we get used to doing. I guess you might could say that we are even good at doing these things because we've done them so many times, right? For example, I know just what it takes to groom my hair the way I want it to look and I am sure you do the same.
Now, you see, the truth is that if we want to be really good at something, we have to keep doing it over and over. I think this same principle applys to writing. If we want to be good at this skill, we have to work at it. We are what we repeatedly do. If you want to be a good writer, then keep at it. Don't get discouraged and give up! Keep moving forward and remember friends that we really are what we repeatedly do!
