Thoughts from the heart... I lost the love of my life last year; suddenly and without warning. My David was a Vietnam Veteran, proud and accomplished having earned a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for his service. And although both of these medals are honorable, his greatest achievement in life was being a servant of the King, the Lord Jesus Christ.
It has been a tough ten months to date, but I'm assured that David is in a better place--an environment where he no longer has to cope with the battles of war. Those scars are long gone. To God be the glory!
I miss him in some way most every day, but I know that I must go on. God has been gracious and good to me since my husband's transition and I trust that he will continue to do so. Exciting things are happening and I am finally looking forward to 'new beginnings.'
You will be seeing me around the den more since I'm determined to pick up the pieces and begin again. What better way to start than by simply writing about it?
