Okay, here it is Labor Day Monday, and hubby had to work. Go-Go is home from school, and for the most part, she and the little sister have been playing well this morning, leaving Mom bored and unmotivated to do housework. It is a holiday after all. So I started playing pinball on the computer, and Go-Go's obession with the elf from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings popped into my head. As we watched the Two Towers, yesterday, she whispered to me, "Shhh... I'm gonna marry the one with the arrows." She and Mom are two peas in a pod, neither one of us can ever remember his name.
Go-Go just banged her knee and cried, "I want my daddy." Her sister replied, "Daddy at work." The little one is almost 2 & a half. I'm amazed at how rapidly her vocabulary has expanded. (Little diversion but I thought it was cute how she tried to comfort her big sis. Plus I'm bored).
Anyway my latest attempt at creativity was inspired by Go-Go and What's his name. Who, according to my daughter, was visiting with us and playing with her yesterday. I said it in my "Carousel" story and will say it here. Someone needs to figure out how to bottle the imagination of a child. It's spectacular to witness first hand.
