Well summer has been keeping me busy. Sent Go-Go to VBS this year. Last night was the parent presentation. I did get to see Go-Go sing even if it was way in the back, because the Little One saw the playroom and wanted to go there. Then we had a hard time extracting her from the playroom. She was the only one in the 3s room. All the other little critters were in the room next door, yet she had a ball playing with all those toys by herself. (She's too much a loner like her mother) Whenever we go to parties or other places with a lot of people she gets super cranky.
Go-Go had a lot of fun with VBS. She wants to go again next year. They did learn some cool things. However, Mom did not appreciate the oragami connection take home sheets. One night Hubby and I were sitting here, trying to fold a square piece of paper into a heart. I kept telling Hubby, Go-Go was the one who told me how to fold the fish yesterday. Outsmarted by a 6 year old.
The Little One isn't far behind, going around the house saying, "z o o spells zoo!" And she picks up the letter magnets off the fridge and says which one it is.
Hubby was talking about how crabby both girls were this past week. What can I say, they have no schedule for summer vacation. It was: Get up, eat breakfast, walk to school, come home from school, eat lunch, Little One went down for nap, Go-Go did her homework. Now Hubby thinks I need to schedule their days, setting aside blocks of time for certain activities.
