Mom was too excited about seeing her first short story printed off the new computer. I printed my first short story off the new computer. I was sooooo ecstatic about it, Go-Go wanted to read it.
Mom cleared throat, "Yeah well I think you need to be a little older to read this story."
Then write me something I can read. Alright, Mom relents.
Go-Go was a very precious and rambunctious 5 year old. She ran around day and night, night and day, annoying her Mommy to no end.
One morning she tried getting her own cereal and poured too much. She spilled it all over the floor and left more than half a bowl untouched. Mom was very upset. She yelled and screamed. Go-Go needed to clean up the mess she made, and she had to learn if you pour too much cereal into the bowl, you need to put some back BEFORE adding milk. Waste not want not.
As Mom wrote Go-Go's story, she kept nagging about STICKERS. After Mom writes the story and staples it, which means more than one page.
“I thought I asked for stickers!”
“You did but I thought you wanted this story.”
“Oh yeah I forgot.”
“My favorite animal is any animal you want to write about. I like every animal.”
Oh and I need to add when she was born. 5 years ago, can I possibly remember back that far?
You know Mom is old and decrepit. I must write about giraffes now.
Let’s see giraffes are tall; they like to eat leaves off the top branches of the tree.
“We take pictures of them at the zoo. I know how to spell zoo Z O Z.”
Close but as they say, no cigar.
The End.
Mom went to get stickers for Go-Go to decorate her story.
