Sorry bunch... revisited

I could use a cat to chase a mouse.
Okay, now I'm just being plain silly. However, one of the neighbors popped by this afternoon. Couldn't get in the house. I don't get it; 3 families live there, 2 of them are on the lease. The one changed the locks to keep the third adult party out and has still not given the second leasee the new keys!? If I had my name on a lease and couldn't get in my house, I'd be raising...
Anyhow, the person rings our doorbell just as I was setting up to check my email. Full cup of tea in hand, spills all over mouse and pad when I jump. I wasn't expecting anyone, and my doorbell rarely rings. With hubby around, I don't need a cat though. I figured my mouse is fryed, but hubby unhooks it and dries it with his air compressor in his workshop. Mouse seems to be operating fine now. I'm glad I didn't hit the keyboard. We just got a brand new one a couple weeks ago.
As Mom was sitting, wiping up her spilt tea and cursing her bad luck. Go-Go comes in and says, "It's ok, Mommy, it was only an accident". True enough but there is a reason I don't allow Go-Go to have drinks when she's on the computer. And even though it appears Dad saved the day, I'm still upset with myself.
Go-Go's advice gave me pause though, 5 year-olds, know how to put things back into perspective. After all it was only the mouse and an accident. If it wasn't for those darn neighbors...
The one who rang our doorbell, dropped some of her load here, and went off with a friend. Supposedly she will call later to see if anyone is home who can let her in. She can't call next door, because the couple who changed the locks also changed the phone # and didn't think that was important to give out either.
