Dripping blood

How feet do bleed.
I knew head wounds bled a lot. I had no idea feet did. Yesterday, Go-Go and the Little One were playing at the park. And everytime they ask if they can take off their shoes. Mom always relents. After over 5 years of going around barefoot, Go-Go stepped on a piece of glass. She came up to me, foot in air, and said, "Mom look." At first Mom thought she stepped in some spilled kool-aid. Though Mom only brought water. Then it started to drip and Mom got quesy at the realization it was blood.
Go-Go was promptly put in the stroller, and the Little One walked all the way home, standing right beside the stroller and telling her big sister not to worry Dr. ----
was there. Go-Go would scream I don't want Dr. ----
I want Dr. Mommy. Mom told Go-Go not to worry I would doctor her and her sister would only assist.
When we got home Go-Go's left foot was completely caked in blood and sand, there was more on her right foot, and somehow she got blood all over her shorts too. Mom stuck her feet in the sink, washing off the blood and sand in warm water. And to my surprise there was a little half inch cut on her left heel. THAT WAS IT! All that blood from a tiny little cut Mom only needed one bandage for.
All that blood I was certain we were going to have to call Dad and bring Go-Go in for stitches. I keep telling her she took 5 years off my life and now she knows why you really need to keep your sneakers on while playing outside. Though this morning she told me some glass could get through sneakers. I told her that may be, but it's highly unlikely and sneakers are better than going barefoot.
