Escapades of the little one, 2 months before her 3rd birthday. The Little One just started opening her bedroom door, and for some reason so far, only does it in the morning when it's time to get up. Last night was a catastrophe. We tuck her in, about a half hour later, she says she has to go potty, so Dad opens her door (she just stood at it screaming), and she comes to Mom to go potty. Her PJs are already wet. I take them off; she sits on the potty, but doesn't go. I tell her to have Dad get her new PJs. Dad does and off to bed she goes. Within 5 mins. she screams she has to go potty again. Dad lets her out again. Mom puts her on potty again. PJs are wet again! We try convincing two-year old it is okay to open her door to go potty. Dad puts her to bed with no Pjs.
Before Mom and Dad go to bed, Dad comes into the bedroom laughing. The Little One put on a Go-Go turtleneck and Go-Go underwear, she found in the laundry hamper sitting in her room. This morning, the Little One opened her own door, still wearing her sister's clothes and completely dry. Now why won't she do this in the middle of the night when she needs to go?
Anyhow, Dad said, "Survival of the fittest," laughing at how the Little One devised to stay warm after Mom and Dad's exasperation at having 2 pairs of wet pajamas. I'm still trying to figure out how it is Go-Go was making bedroom escapes as soon as we put her in a big girl bed at 1 and a half, and our Little One just figured this out about a week ago.
