This is preschool, good grief!!!! Yesterday was pre-k registration. Today is my little one's 3rd b-day. She gets to go to pre-k next year. :D
Hubby wakes me up at 6:30 AM for registration that begins at 8, and says we need to go. Yeah right, I roll over and go back to bed. Hubby insists we get there early. And he managed to get me there at 7:30 where I became #58 in line!! For preschool registration that didn't start for another half hour.
The rumor going down the line was that #1 in line got there at 9:30 PM Friday night, and a dozen or more after that showed up at midnight!!!!
Well officially registration was supposed to go from 8- noon. #58, that's me, didn't get in the door til 12:45 PM! However my wasted morning paid off, my little one is all set and ready to start pre-k next year at Go-Go's school. A BIG must when Mom can't drive. I'm happy, cause the Little One is already saying, "Me school. Me school." When we take and pick up her big sister.
Phew! I was not a happy person yesterday. Actually I wasn't a happy person when I got the flier, saying pre-k was only one day and a Saturday! When I registered Go-Go a couple years ago, registration was an entire week during regular district office hours.
It wasn't too bad, because Go-Go's school had plenty of openings left, but they held pre-k registration for all 5 district schools in one place. Most of the people ahead of me weren't there for the school I wanted. Still I was in line from 7:30-12:45. I am glad it was a Saturday for one thing. Hubby dropped me off and went home with the girls. The kids who were in line with their parents...
It wasn't a pretty picture let me tell you. Hubby came back a little after 12PM with lunch. You should have seen the crowd of little people he attracted when he pulled out juice boxes.
