That Darn Kid

Is it a rat? Is it a cat? No, it's a kid?
Early AM, Mom's in the shower, and I hear a grumbling come into the bathroom. Dad comes in complaining about Go-Go. He awoke to something rustling. At first he thought it was the shower, then he realized something was moving the cloth on the computer table. He began thinking it was a rat. Then realized it was too big to be a rat, knowing the dog was on the bed with him, he gave her a kick, wondering why she wasn't barking, because surely a CAT got into our house and had planted itself under our computer. (keep in mind all windows and doors are locked) The dog doesn't move, so Dad grabs a flashlight, pulls up the cloth, and shines the light into the cat's, no wait, the little girl's eyes.
Okay even as I write this I'm finding it hard not to laugh. This is the point Dad came grumbling into the bathroom, and I got out of the shower to tell Go-Go she scared her dad half to death. You see, today is show-n-tell at school, and Go-Go was all excited Daddy was going to be her show and tell. She couldn't wait for Dad to get up. She and her dad are going to show the flower Dad let her paint on his canvas, with his 'grown-up' paints. She did a beautiful sunflower.
Dad has left early to participate in show-n-tell, complete with underwear in his pocket. In all the excitement this morning, Mom forgot to give Go-Go underwear to put on, and she's wearing a dress. My only hope is she remembered it on her own. At least no one from the school called requesting any, I'm going to Mommy hell, I know.
