Twiddling my thumbs

I finally started my Christmas cards yesterday, and today I'm twiddling my thumbs surfing because I don't want to finish them. I think it's the writer in my, but I find form letters too impersonal so I handwrite and personalize each letter. Very time consuming.
This is Go-Go's last week of school before winter break. Thursday is their Christmas program at 10 AM! Doesn't anyone realize parents work? Hubby's trying to get the morning off. He missed her pre-k graduation last year because it was at 11:30 AM. I missed it too, because the little one wanted center stage and we were asked to leave. If hubby can't come Thursday, I hope my little pearl is on her best behavior.
Last night hubby worked late, so I had to put the girls to bed. G0-Go wouldn't leave her sister's bedroom so I threatened calling Santa; she left quick as a flash. When the little one started jumping on her bed, I tried the same tactic. Go-Go told her to listen; however, 2 and a half is too young for this concept to work. I'm a terrible Mommy, but I guess I can't threaten the little pearl with no Santa on Thursday. Hopefully the hubby will be there.
Well it's been nice to get something written even if it's just babbling. But I have other things to do.
