The neighbors are truly gone. Workers came over, cleaning and replacing the carpet last week. As February was nonstop around here. I haven't been able to rejoice. The neighbors are gone! Actually the one neighbor who left some stuff over here came over on the Friday we had rehearsal going-ons for the wedding. My parents were here; I was trying to clean my house for other relatives arriving, and then I have to babysit her 2 year old as she tries to salvage things out of the house the other 2 parties did not take. Not that I blamed her, I went into the house (curiousity getting the better of me), and there's NO WAY I would have let my 2 year old loose in there either. But it was just another headache in February I didn't need.
So it probably comes to no surprise everyone here was sick the week after the wedding. Actually I came down with something the day of the wedding. The Little One was throwing up the Wednesday and Thursday beforehand. At first we thought it was just excitement, because Wednesday she was running around screaming, "Zoo! Zoo!" We went to the zoo with my parents that afternoon. But she kept up the vomiting Thursday; she made it to the rehearsal dinner Friday, hitting it off with the ring-bearer real well. He is only 3 months younger than my little one. Saturday, she slept a good part of the day. Sunday was the wedding. Then Monday, Mom, Dad, and Go-Go woke up feeling miserable. Whatever the bug was, it lasted all week. I didn't feel better til the following Sunday after throwing-up.
Hubby's birthday was pretty blah. He had to work that day. Our neighbor, who picked her stuff up the previous week actually called to wish him a happy birthday. She couldn't believe he had to work on his birthday, especially since it was a Saturday. I couldn't believe it. Everyone recognizes Hubby's b-day. The neighbor called and the day before my aunts got him a birthday cake. We basically celebrated his birthday Friday night, because my family left Friday and Saturday morning.
