Time with the granddaughters! 5/5/2006 7:08:03 PM
Nice, laid back day spent with my almost two and almost five year old granddaughters. I love being a grandma, and to love them, play with them, spoil them, and send them home, well who could ask for anything more?
Today I went to pick Kali and Kenzie up and they played at grandmas house until Mom picked them up this afternoon. We rode bikes in the driveway, walked to a yard sale down the street, had McDonalds for lunch, and had a wonderful time. I have so much fun, especially with the girls, since I always wanted a daughter and had two sons instead. So these little ones, and the two girls in California, and one granddaughter in Germany are very special to me. Don't get me wrong, I love my grandsons just as much, I just find my granddaughters so much fun! I love going to garage sales and finding them clothes, dressing them up, fixing their hair, and playing Barbies with them. It's just not the same with the boys. I am fair, they all take their turn, but there is always a discussion on whose "turn" it is. I am fortunate that some of my grandchildren live close to me. I have thirteen total, and at least eight live within 45 minutes from me.
Well enough about my angels. I've been busy working on my big assignment. I have three more articles to write and turn in tomorrow, then another fifty to get done in the next two weeks. I like the work, and love making extra money doing what I love!
