Goodness of people and many helpful friends to get Heather and the kids settled into their new home! We have been so blessed to have God lead us to people that have been so kind and generous. My daughter and her kids do not have a lot of good furniture but this weekend changed that. Breezy and I were out following garage sale signs just looking for a little pink or purple lamp for her bedroom. After leaving one sale I was aimlessly driving and followed an Estate Sale sign. I ended up in Mt. Zion. I pulled in to that long driveway and the first thing that caught my eye was a beautiful white little girl's bedroom set. Headboard, long dresser with mirror, and two bedside tables. It was very reasonably priced but after spending so much in the last few weeks to get them moved, I just didn't feel like I could take the money out of our budget. Breezy kept saying how pretty the things were and I could picture it perfectly in her new room. A voice called out from a shaded garage that she would drop the price. It was so reasonable to begin with I hated for her to do that. Again, thinking about our budget, I had to pass.
Breezy and I walked into a garage full of more household goods and clothes. The lady running the sale came up to me, put her arm around me and whispered in my ear, "We would like for you to have that bedroom set for your granddaughter." I was totally overwhelmed with emotion. I broke down and cried. I explained the situation to the nice folks running the estate sale and how excited everyone would be for Breezy to have that beautiful bedroom set. As I cried and made phone calls to get everyone to come and get this wonderful gift, I spied two very solid wood dressers. Not fake wood, really good, sturdy ones. I said I want to buy these from you. She refused! She said, "no, I won't sell them to you, they are yours." Again I was overwhelmed with emotion and tears. I left there realizing how God had led me to this wonderful couple. Blessings were poured out to me yesterday! I believe in God's leading in my life. I also believe that he is blessing my family because of the many times we have helped other people. It was an amazing day and a great ending to a busy week.
