It's Fall Already!! Where Did Summer Go? 9/5/2014 9:07:17 AM
Grandma's summer day camp is over and it flew by! I don't know where the days went! It was a good summer, very busy and still full of stress. We received the letter of recommendation from the Guardian Ad Litum but have still not received notice of a court date. This divorce thing has been strung out for over a year. Wish it would be over.
The kids and I worked really hard on the girls rooms in the basement. And I think they look pretty good if I do say so myself! All that needs to be done is put up the rest of the fabric ceiling in their TV (aka: Girl Cave) room. Someone might help out and finish that for me. Maybe even do the girls closet too. I need to figure out how to put pictures on here. Before and after pictures are awesome!
School is started and the kids are in a new school. They seem to be happy there and like their teachers and classroom. Katlin made the basketball team and Hunter got into Cross Country. Breezy has a new best friend and Kenzie is trying out for basketball. That means we'll be going to some ball games and meets!
Breezy had her 7th birthday. Had a little party for her with some of her friends. Second birthday without her dad and she doesn't seem to mind at all! She went to her weekly visit on her birthday. She is such a sweetheart! Happy and smiling and grateful for all she received. Couple of friends from Hope came and she was so happy to show them her new room.
I have no idea why this divorce business is taking so long! Neither attorneys seem inclined to finish it up. It's just stressful and always seems to be there at the back of our minds. We are praying for a different job, steadier work for Heather. Meanwhile she is still in school and working hard on her education.
Steve also had an infected cyst on his back removed and before it was totally healed he got this horrible pain in his side. We went to ER a couple of times, doctor's office, tests were run and still they haven't found the problem. He had a sonogram this morning to check his gall bladder. If that isn't it, they are down to the severely pulled inner muscle diagnosis they first gave him. Meanwhile, I have been back and forth with his mom who is not in good health. She will be having a colonoscopy on the 18th.
She is very weak and twice while I was staying there I thought we had lost her. It was a horrible feeling and panic attack time! She says she is going to live to be 100 but sure am having doubts about that. I love her so much and it breaks my heart to see her going downhill so fast. If you are a praying person, as you can tell, our family needs lots of them right now! Until next time!
